Fall Is The Best Season Ever — Embrace It To The Max

No one ever wishes for the end of summer, but it happens, and by the time it does, we’re usually ready to pack away the bikinis for a bit and start snuggling up in some warm sweaters instead. To make the most out of the fall season, you need to seriously embrace everything that comes with it. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Find yourself some cinnamon scented candles. Cinnamon really has its moment over the holiday season, and spreading that scent throughout your home will almost make it smell like you’re actually baking something.
  2. Get the coziest sweater ever made. And then wear the crap out of it. Does anything feel more like fall than an oversized chunky sweater that basically covers your hands? It’s even perfect for holding hot coffee cups.
  3. Pumpkin everything. Yeah, you might get called basic for it, but when else is one supposed to overdo it on all things pumpkin flavored? Pumpkin pancakes, anyone?
  4. Start working on your Halloween costume now. We all have good intentions when it comes to nailing Halloween in the costume department, but we’re also busy and sometimes we end up at a half empty costume store the day of. Not this year.
  5. Step up your cuddle game. Cooler weather means more cuddling, whether that’s with a cute guy, your neighbors dog, or just your own cozy blankets. It’s just a must.
  6. Go to a football game. Big fan or not, there’s something about a football game that lines up with that back to school excitement, even when you graduated a decade ago.
  7. Switch up something in your beauty routine. Darker lipstick, perhaps? New braid technique that will stay put under hats? Changing something up in your look can make the change of seasons will fun and new, even though you’ve been through it 30 times already.
  8. Get crafty. There’s not a lot of crafty stuff to do in the summer, but come fall there’s a potential cute craft activity around every corner. Have a pumpkin carving party to kick off the season.
  9. Declutter your space. We tend to think of spring cleaning being the major one, but why not make it a regular habit? The holiday season tends to get pretty busy, so the less we have to worry about at home, the less stressful it will be.
  10. Enjoy warm drinks. When the AC goes off, it’s safe to switch from iced drinks to hot ones of all genres.
  11. Take the Sunday funday indoors. Maybe pool hopping isn’t on the schedule anymore, but sports bars sure are a good option! Sports bars are full of drinks and men, so it’s a pretty reasonable way to close out a weekend.
  12. Find a fair or a festival. A lot of county fairs and festivals come up in the fall and as cheesy as they can be they have that feeling of tradition that makes the months so special.
  13. Set goals and intentions. Each change of the season is a good time to see what you’ve accomplished and to see what you would still like to conquer before New Year’s resolution time rolls around.
