If You’re Single, Don’t Worry—White Cheesecake M&M’s Will Be Your Valentine

If You’re Single, Don’t Worry—White Cheesecake M&M’s Will Be Your Valentine M&M's

If you ask me, Valentine’s Day is kind of a lame holiday. Why do we need a single day a year to celebrate the person we love? We should be treated them like kings and queens every day, not just on February 14. The only redeeming thing about V-Day is that it’s an excuse to drown in chocolate and other sweet treats, like M&M’s White Cheesecake flavor, which thankfully has made a return again for 2020.

  1. Yes it’s early, but who cares? I know Christmas was literally just over a week ago and we’re only a couple of days into the new year, but I also know that retailers love to get WAY ahead of the game and move from one holiday to the next with zero time in between because time is money, people. While that’s vaguely obnoxious and kinda depressing that we live in such a capitalistic society, I’m also not complaining when new seasonal treats are hitting shelves, ya dig?
  2. The shells come in seasonally appropriate colors. The white cheesecake M&M’s have white, pink, and cream-colored shells which are perfect for Valentine’s Day but a little more subtle than bright red, which I like. Not that the shell color influences the flavor at all, but what can I say, I’m a sucker!
  3. Who doesn’t love cheesecake? Well, I’m sure there are a lot of people, but having had these before, I can assure you that white cheesecake M&M’s don’t really taste like proper cheesecake. Instead, there’s just a slightly tangier, creamier bite to them than normal M&M’s and instead of milk chocolate filling, it’s white chocolate. Regular M&M’s are delicious (my personal faves are peanut butter and the pretzel ones, but I’m not choosy) but it’s also nice to have seasonal options.
  4. They’re not the ultimate V-Day treat but they are a welcome edition. While generally, boxes of chocolates tend to be more popular at this time of year since they tend to be a bit fancier than just a bag of M&M’s, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t grab some of these. In fact, grab a few bags to last you until next year.
  5. Check your local store for stock. While many stores have already started putting out their Valentine’s Day candy selection, this isn’t the case for every shop, so check your local to see if they’re out yet. If they’re not, don’t worry – it won’t be long now. If you’re desperate, you can get them on Amazon, but given the inflation price, you might be better holding off.
