Man Proposes To His Girlfriend On A Whim Using Chicken Nuggets

One of the best parts of being in a relationship is having someone to enjoy delicious food with, like hitting up your local McDonald’s for a 20-piece McNuggets and a large fries. One couple was doing just that when the guy decided that he wanted to ask his girlfriend to marry him, and he enlisted a box of chicken nuggets to help him.

  1. He only had 20 minutes and a dream. An American woman shared the proposal in a post to the private Facebook group That’s It, I’m Proposal Shaming. She revealed that her now-husband had 20 minutes to buy a ring, order his chicken nuggets, and pop the question, but she wasn’t immediately picking up what he was putting down.
  2. This is a true tale of romance. As the poster wrote, while she was taking a nap, he ran to Walmart and McDonald’s while talking to her best friend for help in pulling off the proposal. While the woman was half asleep when he turned up, it clearly went well since they’re married now!
  3. She thought the ring box was sauce. You gotta have sauce with your nugs – BBQ is my personal choice, but honey is surprisingly good with the savory nuggets too – so it was natural that the poster thought, “WTF was this weird sauce?” when she opened the boxes of McNuggets to see the black ring box. It took her a couple of minutes to realize that in fact, her boyfriend was proposing.
  4. It’s not an ideal proposal but it is special. No doubt this couple will remember their engagement for the rest of their lives because of how unique this proposal was. The guy obviously felt so strong about his now-wife that he just had to go out right then and there and get a ring and ask her to marry him. That’s better than any engagement that takes forever to plan.
