Chivalry is so rare that it’s impossible to tell if a man is flirting with you or just being friendly when he holds open the door and asks you about your day. Of course, there are always little things that can give his true intentions away. They’re tiny, but they’re the difference between whether he views you as a friend or daydreams about getting you in the sack.
- He seems nervous. Your platonic friends shouldn’t be nervous around you, so if you notice him fidgeting and blushing, he’s into you. Otherwise, he’d be able to look you directly in the eyes without breaking into a sweat.
- He tries to get you alone. Unless he wants to tell you the juicy details about his latest hookup and doesn’t want anyone else to hear, there’s no reason for him to try to get you alone. So if he prefers to talk one-on-one and asks you to hang out alone in his room, then it’s guaranteed he wants to be more than friends.
- He remembers everything about you. Yes, your friends should remember your birthday. But even if they’re super observant, they probably won’t remember the outfit you wore the first time you met and your favorite Skittles color. If he never forgets a word that comes out of your mouth, he’s remembering it for a reason.
- He stares at your lips. Forget your eyes. If he stares at your lips, then it’s a surefire sign that he’s thinking about kissing you, amongst other things. He just hasn’t had the courage to actually make his dreams a reality yet.
- He makes suggestive comments. Does he throw raunchy jokes into every conversation? If he always finds a way to slip something sexual into your discussions, it gives you a hint about what’s on his mind whenever he sees you.
- He always looks his best around you. If you know he has a reputation for wearing sweatpants and hoodies, but he’s always dressed to the nines when he sees you, there’s a method behind his madness. Most men aren’t as fashionable as we are, so if he’s dressing up, he’s trying to impress a special someone.
- He doesn’t talk about any other girls. If you two were friends, he’d want to tell you all about the girls he’s crushing on. If he never even looks at another woman when you two are together, it’s because his crush is right in front of him.
- He seems annoyed when you mention other guys. Here’s the biggest sign that he’s into you. If you mention a guy friend of yours, and his mood instantly changes, then he wants to be the one dating you. He doesn’t want to hear about his competition.
- His attention is all on you. When you talk, he actually listens. If his phone beeps, his pupils don’t dart toward the screen. His whole focus is on you, because you’re the most important thing in the room.
- He touches you whenever he can. Some people are close talkers. Some people love to give hugs and cheek kisses. If you notice him touching everyone, it’s just part of his personality. But if you’re the only one he treats that way? Honey, he likes you.
