You Can Get Paid $1,000 To Binge Watch ‘The Office’ For 15 Hours

I don’t know about you, but when I want something on in the background while I’m working or cooking, I tend to choose an episode or two of The Office more often than not. It’s hilarious and ridiculous and infinitely quotable and basically the best. Well, now it turns out there’s a company that wants to pay someone $1,000 to binge watch 15 hours of classic NBC sitcom and I know plenty of people who would be perfect for the job.

  1. The 15th anniversary of The Office is coming up. It’s hard to believe that Michael Scott first came into our lives in May 2005—it feels like only yesterday! To commemorate the anniversary, TV provider US Dish wants to reward one die-hard fan with a thousand bucks to watch their favorite show. What could be better?
  2. The lucky applicant will have to watch about 45 episodes. According to the application, you have to be willing to binge watch The Office for 15 hours over nine days, which equals out to roughly 45 episodes. For fans of the show, that’s not even a sacrifice, it’s kinda the norm. It’s unclear whether the winner will get to pick the episodes they watch or if US Dish will decide, but either way, that’s a pretty sweet job.
  3. You get more than cash if you’re chosen. While a check for $1,000 is pretty sweet on its own, the person who gets to binge watch The Office also gets a bunch of fun memorabilia including a Dundie, Jell-O, Michael’s coffee mug, and a Netflix gift card.
  4. So how can you apply? If you feel like this job is for you, applications can be completed via the US Dish website and will be accepted until 5 p.m. MT on March 16. All you need to do to apply is write 300 words about why you’d be the perfect choice to binge watch The Office, which is simple enough. You have the option to add a video to your application though this isn’t required. Good luck, everyone!
