Dunkin’ Donuts Is Apparently Selling Matcha Lattes And ‘Snacking Bacon’ From Next Month

To be fair, Dunkin’ Donuts already has a pretty wide range of drink and food options, but there’s always room for more. According to an Instagram post by foodie influencer @candyhunting, it looks like America’s fav coffee shop is about to launch a few new products including matcha lattes and something called “snacking bacon” that I want to eat immediately.

  1. This isn’t confirmed but it looks to be a sure thing. From the looks of the original post, the news about Dunkin’s impending new releases seems to have come from an insider who generously shared it with @candyhunting (who then generously shared it with all of us). When Delish reached out to them for confirmation on the matcha latte and other new food releases, a Dunkin’ rep would only say, “Although we’re unable to confirm any new Dunkin’ menu items at this time, we’ll be in touch soon when we have exciting news to share about our spring menu.” Hmm… trying to play coy, I see!
  2. It’s about time Dunkin’ is giving us a matcha latte. From the image, it looks like it the delicious green tea flavor won’t just come in hot or cold latte form but also in a Coolata, if that’s more your thing. Starbucks has been offering matcha drinks for awhile now so Dunkin’ is playing catch-up, but better late than never!
  3. Who could forget about the “snacking bacon”? From the look of the small image included in the leaked photo, the “sweet black pepper snacking bacon” looks to be just a bunch of crispy bacon in a container to be eaten as-is. Hey, no need to complicate something that’s already so naturally delicious! Sweet and savory bacon? I’m in!
  4. These items will likely only be available for a limited time. The image reveals that the Dunkin’ matcha latte, the snacking bacon, new protein muffins, as well as the use of white cheddar on its breakfast sandwiches will be available between February 26 – March 31, meaning they may not be sticking around long-term, which kinda sucks. Or, maybe this is their probationary period so Dunkin’ can determine whether or not they’re worth adding to the permanent menu? Who can say, but I’ve got my fingers crossed these will be appearing in my local Dunkin’ soon!
