You don’t want to date someone who’s immature. However, you probably should date someone who’s a kid at heart. They’ll keep you feeling fresh and young. While all of the other couples you know are bored to tears at wine tastings, you’ll actually be out enjoying yourselves. That’s just one of the many perks of dating a kid at heart.
- He’ll get excited over little things. If you buy him a gift just for the hell of it, he’s going to think it’s the greatest present he’s ever gotten. He’ll appreciate everything you do for him, because he’ll have a child’s sense of wonder.
- He won’t judge you. If you want to pop bubble wrap, or visit an amusement park, he won’t mind. In fact, he’ll jump right on board, because he’ll be just as excited as you are.
- He’ll have big dreams. Adults can get so bogged down by their responsibilities that they’ll give up on their goals. But if your boyfriend is a kid at heart, he should still have the motivation to land his dream job.
- He’ll watch Disney movies with you. There’s no better date than snuggling on the couch while watching classic Disney movies. Any man who will agree to marathon cartoons with you is a good man.
- He won’t care what others think. He won’t worry about getting made fun of for liking a certain show or dressing a certain way. Nothing will embarrass him, because he’ll know that his happiness is more important than a stranger’s opinion of him.
- He’ll care about his family. If he’s a kid at heart, he’ll have a close connection to his parents and siblings. As long as he doesn’t rely on his mother to still do his laundry, that’s a good sign.
- He won’t be snobby. If he’s a kid at heart, he’s not going to act like he’s better than everyone else. He’ll always be friendly and fun, because his goal will be to make others as happy as he is.
- He’ll be creative. If he has a huge imagination, you’ll never be bored. When you can’t think of anything fun to do, your boyfriend will be able to come up with a game to keep you two busy, even if it’s something as silly as pretending that the floor is lava.
- He won’t take life too seriously. This means he won’t overreact all that often. He’ll be too busy enjoying life to pick fights with you.
