If there’s one thing I love in life, it’s seasonal food releases. Sweet stuff is my specialty (I basically tripped over my own feet rushing to get a Cotton Candy Blizzard) and I get inordinately excited at the possibility of new ways to get my sugar rush. That’s why I can’t wait to head to Carvel for their new Tie-Dye Specialty Shake.

- Tie-dye is basically the epitome of summer. As I type this, I’m actually wearing a tie-dye shirt, so that should tell you why this appeals to me (and that I’m getting ahead of myself when it comes to the season). Carvel coming out with a tie-dye shake just in time for summer is one of the best ideas I’ve ever heard of.
- It sounds downright delicious. While it’s hard to know what you’re getting into when you hear “Tie-Dye Specialty Shake,” allow me to let you in on its goodness. According to the product description on the website, this creation includes Carvel’s “fun-loving Cake Mix flavor blended with swirls of color then topped with whipped cream, pound cake bites, and rainbow sprinkles.” PERFECT!
- That’s not all they’re offering this summer. In addition to the tie-dye shake, Carvel is also serving up something called the Unicorn Fairy Dust shake, in which “ice cream plus pretty pink and purple marshmallow drizzles come together for a shake of mythical proportions, complete with rainbow sprinkle cone.” I’m sold!
- Both creations are available at your local Carvel now. They’re seasonal specialties, however, so if you want to get your hands on either of them, you’ll need to act quickly (or, you know, within the next couple of months). With things being as tough as they are for all of us right now, we need all the smiles we can get, and I can’t imagine a better way to bring one to someone’s face than via one of these shakes. Maybe I’m just simple!
