The Backstreet Boys Are Performing An Living Room Concert For Fans This Weekend

If there’s one good thing to come out of this time of social distancing, it’s that so many celebrities, musicians in particular, are finding innovative ways to interact with and perform for their fans. It’s pretty great being able to livestream our favorite artists at all hours of the day, and now the Backstreet Boys are getting in on the action by doing a concert for fans straight from their living room this weekend.

  1. It’s part of Elton John’s charity concert. Elton will be hosting Fox Presents the iHeart Living Room Concert for America on Sunday, March 29 which will air live on Fox at 9 p.m. EST. The show has been put together to “pay tribute to the front line health professionals, first responders and local heroes who are putting their lives in harm’s way to help their neighbors and fight the spread of the virus” and will ask viewers to donate to causes such as Feeding America and First Responders Children’s Foundation throughout the broadcast.
  2. The Backstreet Boys will be performing from their living room! Since it would be unsafe for a bunch of artists and fans to be packed into one arena for the concert, acts will be performing from the comfort of their own living rooms and streamed to the broadcast. This way, everyone stays safe but we all get to enjoy some sweet tunes.
  3. Who wouldn’t love some ’90s hits right now? One thing we could all use right now is some levity. Harkening back to the simpler time of the ’90s, when pop music was REALLY good, is one way to bring it. I’m sure the Backstreet Boys will use their living room concert slot to perform their biggest hits, and frankly, I can’t wait.
  4. The Backstreet Boys aren’t the only ones doing living room sets. The concert special will also feature performances from the likes of Alicia Keys, Billie Eilish, Mariah Carey, Tim McGraw, Billie Joe Armstrong, and lots of other special guests that have yet to be announced.
  5. This is the kind of programming we need! Not only will this living room concert hopefully raise a lot of money for people who need it most, it will also take our minds off of how tough everything is right now and provide us with some great viewing in the meantime. I can’t wait!
