10 Ways To Create An Unbreakable Bond With Your Partner

You’ll probably have dozens of romantic relationships throughout your lifetime, but how many can you say are truly game-changing or one of a kind? If you want to make sure you and your partner are solid for life, here’s how you can take your relationship to the next level and create an unbreakable bond.

  1. Tell them something no one else knows. If you want to create an unbreakable bond with anyone, not just your partner, share with them something that no one else knows. I’m not talking about the “I pick my nose when nobody’s looking” kind of stuff. I’m talking about the hidden secrets that you wouldn’t want to broadcast to anyone because they’re incredibly personal and meaningful to you. This is a really wonderful way to show someone you really trust them.
  2. Let them share their deepest secrets with you. Because relationships are a two-way street, your partner should be able to share something with you that they haven’t told anyone else and know that you’ll not only keep it to yourself but you won’t judge them for it. The fact that you are the only two people in on the secret will make you feel like you’ve created a special club for the both of you that no one else is allowed into.
  3. Start a hobby together that neither of you has done before. It could be something as simple as going to a cooking class or more complex like training for a marathon. Either way, commit to doing it together and you’ll create a bond over this hobby that is sure to last (as long as you keep doing the hobby, of course). Not only that, but once you complete certain milestones, you’ll have those memories to treasure forever too.
  4. Do something that scares you both together. Similarly, don’t just stop at the hobby. Do something that terrifies you both together. When you step so far out of your comfort zone and actually survive the experience, this helps you to bond like nothing else (and pushes your personal growth sky-high too). From bungee jumping to sand-boarding, the choices are endless.
  5. Travel somewhere new together. Visiting a new city or country together means you’re automatically connected to that person for life. Anytime somebody talks about that place, you’ll think of your partner and the memories you made there. And if you ever went back, it would make you think of the time you spent there together.
  6. Have private jokes. You know, the kind that are unique to you guys, allow you to be goofy together, and make you erupt in fits of giggles every time you think of them. It doesn’t matter how stupid or silly they are. In fact, the dumber, the better.
  7. Let them be there for you during bad times of your life. Let them in more than you’ve ever let anyone else in. Ever. Confide in them, communicate your deepest thoughts, and share all of your feelings. Lean on them during the bad times of your life and let them comfort you. Whether a family member has passed away or you’re dealing with a toxic person at work, let them be there for you every step of the way. Grow together and you’ll never want to be apart.
  8. Be there for them during bad times of their life. Remember that two-way street we were talking about earlier? Well, you also need to be there for your partner when they’re going through a tough time. If you support each other and know you can rely on each other, you’ll create a special and unique bond for the long run. And doesn’t it feel wonderful?
  9. Go through life milestones together. At the other end of the spectrum, you shouldn’t just be there for your partner during the bad times of their life. You should be there for them during the good times too, and this includes life milestones. Whether it’s graduating from university or buying your first house, if you take some of life’s biggest steps together, you’ll be more likely to want to stick together forever. Trust me.
  10. Integrate them into all aspects of your life. Introduce them to your friends and family, let them share your passions, and allow them to be your best friend (and you be their best friend too). If you do this, you’ll never want to be without each other and the robust bond you have can never be broken.
