When you have a major crush, it can drive you crazy. It’ll take over your brain so that it’ll be impossible to think of anything other than that hot guy with the winning smile. It doesn’t matter how reasonable you think you are, because once you develop a major crush, it’ll only be a matter of time until you start doing these obsessive things:

  1. Stalking his social media. You’ll go 50 weeks deep into his Instagram, even though you’ve already seen all of his pictures. If he posts a comment on a woman’s Facebook wall, you’ll even move from stalking him to stalking her. You want to know all about your competition.
  2. Losing your concentration. When you really like a guy, you can forget about picking up any of the books on your shelves. Otherwise, you’ll end up rereading the same paragraph five times, because you won’t be able to concentrate on the words. Your mind will keep going back to your crush.
  3. Taking hours to pick out your outfit. You probably won’t see him when you go to the mall, but you do live in the same town, so you’ll dress up just in case. You don’t want to end up running into him on the day you decided to wear pajamas, which is why you always dress your best when you leave the house.
  4. Talking about him constantly. Your friends don’t want to hear about the three seconds of eye contact you made with your crush, but that won’t stop you from talking about it. You won’t admit your feelings to him, but you have to get them out in some other way, which is why your friends will be stuck hearing about him.
  5. Comparing song lyrics to your relationship. It doesn’t matter that Adele is singing about her ex and you’ve never even spoken to your crush, because you’ll find a way to relate to her lyrics. No matter what song comes on, it’ll give you a reason to mope about the man you wish you had.
  6. Rereading his old messages. If you’re lucky enough to be friends with your crush, you’ll save all of his text messages. Whenever you’re bored or lonely, you’ll look back at your conversations to relive how happy you were when you got them. Then you’ll probably end up texting him to start a new convo.
  7. Masturbating to him. If he’s sexy, you might as well masturbate to the thought of him. Go ahead and moan his name, too. He’ll never know the difference.
  8. “Accidentally” running into him. You know what time he visits the gym on weekends, which is why you’ll wake up early in order to bump into him. You don’t consider it stalking. After all, the more often he sees you, the more chances he’ll have to develop feelings for you.
  9. Daydreaming about your future together. It’s not unusual for you to daydream about kissing him or marrying him. In fact, you’ve even picked out the wedding location and your future kids’ names.
  10. Staring at your phone. When you’re waiting for him to text, you’ll check your phone every five seconds. You might even restart it, just in case he already texted you, but your phone malfunctioned and you didn’t receive the message.
