Hardcore Biker Gang Works To Save Animals From Abuse And Neglect

While I’m an animal lover that can’t imagine anyone ever treating animals with cruelty or even apathy, there are those who neglect, abandon, and abuse animals on a regular basis. That’s where Long Island-based group Rescue Ink comes in. They’re a hardcore biker gang hell-bent on breaking up dog fighting rings and saving animals of all kinds from bad situations.

  1. Rescue Ink is the best kind of nonprofit. While animal rights organizations do what they can to help put a stop to the mistreatment of animals, they’re not always very intimidating to the perpetrators of these crimes. The dudes in Rescue Ink, however, are: they’re veterans, bodybuilders, weightlifters, and former police officers who aren’t here to put up with anyone’s crap.
  2. They may look mean but they have hearts of gold. Despite the fact that these guys are heavily muscled and often covered head-to-toe in tattoos, the members of Rescue Ink aren’t actually mean or threatening to anyone but those who are guilty of harming animals and will do what it takes to keep them safe.
  3. Anytime an animal is in trouble, Rescue Ink is there. Whether it’s a litter of kittens abandoned in a dumpster, a dogfighting ring that needs busting up, or even a guinea pig or snake that’s been hurt, Rescue Ink will come out and do what they can to help the animals in question and get them the care they need. “Rescue Ink does whatever necessary within the means of the law — that’s what our lawyers tell us to say — to fight abuse and neglect of all kinds…” they say in their mission statement. “Some people like to think of us as superheroes. The truth is, we are super animal lovers (and protectors). Through the years, and through many caseloads, obstacles, and downright challenges, we remain strong and dedicated to our mission.”
  4. They’ve been featured on TV. Their work caught the attention of the National Geographic Channel, who followed the Rescue Ink guys out on numerous calls of animal mistreatment and abandonment to film them in action. It’s clear to see that these guys truly do love animals of all kinds and are willing to get out there and do whatever they can to assure that none of them suffer needlessly.
